Stephen Baldwin might not be serving time for his fairly extensive tax problems, but he will owe the government a lot of dough; the youngest Baldwin brother and Blue Steel mugshot aficionado has to pay the IRS $300,000 within a year to get his record cleared. Do we smell another Flintstones prequel in the works?

Baldwin was arrested late last year for failing to file three years worth of New York State personal income tax returns, owing the government about $350,000 in back taxes. His attorney worked out a deal to keep him from serving jail time, and the government says about $100,000 of the owed cash ($400,000 including penalties) has already been paid off. Now, Baldwin, 36, says he's looking forward to getting rid of his debt, and though he's not turning to his family for financial help, he's even got plans to direct a movie starring brother Billy.

Plus, we hear brother Alec has freed up some time, too—family project, perhaps? A thriller about a struggling star's relentless battle with a feisty tabloid? We'd watch it.
