From the eviscerating reviews newsdesk, Gothamist likes these two.
- The Times' Bruce Weber on the Hal David-Bruce Bachrach musical, The Look of Love:
Alas it has, in "The Look of Love," the revue of the work of the Bachrach-David songwriting team, which opened last night at the Brooks Atkinson Theater, and which just goes to prove you can have far too much of an O.K. thing....As theater "The Look of Love" is breathtakingly uninspired.
- In Todd McCarthy's Variety review of Eddie Murphy's Daddy Day Care, he writes:
"What's so funny?" little Khamani Griffin, who plays Murphy's son, balefully inquires at the end of outtakes excerpted under the closing credits. Not this film, unfortunately.
Gothamist had wanted to see Daddy Day Care because it also stars Jeff Garlin, Larry David's manager Jeff on Curb You Enthusiasm, but we'll wait for the new season of Curb.
