"Five minutes late, and a day early" (Photo via jankor's flickr)

Last month we alerted you that July's Manhattanhenge dates had shifted a day, thanks to some intel we received from the American Museum of Natural History's Neil deGrasse Tyson. After seeing this photo of photographers awaiting the magical moment last night, one day early, we figured it's time for a reminder!

Tonight there will be a full sun on the grid on July 12th at 8:25 p.m., and tomorrow night there will be a half sun on the grid on July 13th at 8:25 p.m. And this evening you are also invited to Experience Manhattanhenge with Jackie Faherty, who will give "a visual explanation of Manhattenhenge using the state-of-the-art Zeiss Mark IX star projector and Digital Universe atlas."

If you get any photos, be sure to tag them "Gothamist" on Flickr or email them to [email protected]! And if you have any tips on good spots to witness the event without a huge crowd, please put them in the comments.
