Last week Amanda Palmer and Jason Webley's (somewhat controversial) project Evelyn/Evelyn took over the Lucille Lortel Theatre on Christopher Street for five consecutive nights, and at the end of it all we hosted a little party for them at Satellite Lounge in Williamsburg. This took place Saturday night, just around the Witching hour, and here are some photos from the evening—but be warned (or enticed), they include stripping for strangers and John Cameron Mitchell molesting a doll!
Another guest in attendance was Juan Son, who Amanda describes as "more or less, the Mexican Björk. Really well-known in Mexico, relatively unknown in these parts, but just wait…this boy is going to be HUGE here." (So get on that, New York!)
Special thanks to Satellite Bar and their awesome bartender for letting us take over their space for the night, and reader Harris Graber who attended and also took some great photos. (And keep an eye for contests in our newsletter for a chance to attend these types of shindings!) Now, you wanna hear Miss Palmer performing Radiohead's "Idioteque" on a ukulele? Of course you do.
