This morning nearly 1,000 people raced up 66 floors to the Top of the Rock to raise money for MS research. The "Climb To The Top" Race started at 6 a.m., and seems like good practice for the annual race up the Empire State building. Especially for one man who decided to wear a 60-pound vest.
Marine petty officer Chris Delaney said he was running for service members overseas and his friend Trisha McKennan. He said, “The way I look at it my brothers and sisters can be overseas living in a desert, doing what they gotta do over there. If I gotta endure 20 minutes over here to bring attention to what they do and also to raise awareness for MS for my friend Trisha, that’s what it’s all about." A few firefighters also ran the race wearing 100 pounds of gear. And all individuals who raised over $300 got a pair of commemorative socks! Sign us up for next year!
