Who Should Be Cast In The Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie?

Let's start with Bret Easton Ellis's casting. He suggested Ian Somerhalder, noting: "I know how kinky he can be and yes, he's probably Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, and he will go all-out for it." For the leading lady, he suggested Emmy Rossum.Soundtrack: Genesis

For Woody Allen's version, we're going with Ed Norton and Scarlett Johansson... though we would absolutely not be opposed to Mr. Grey being portrayed by Javier Bardem or Hugh Jackman.Soundtrack: Louis Armstrong

While we're tempted to make Judd Apatow's version a full-on bromance, casting James Franco and Paul Rudd as Christian and Ana, respectively, let's think of a leading lady for Franco's Christian... Minka Kelly, perhaps? Her adorable looks and lack of acting skills would pair up nicely with this overrated harlequin romance novel.Soundtrack: Gotye

For the Noah Baumbach version, we'd just go with the leads in Greenberg: Ben Stiller and Greta Gerwig. Who doesn't want to see a mumblecore version of this novel?Soundtrack: Martha Wainwright

In Wes Anderson's world we'd have to replace the Wilson brothers for a younger model—how about Joseph Gordon Levitt? And for his Ana: Zooey Deschanel—is this too twee? 500 Shades Of Summer, y'all!Soundtrack: Postal Service

In Sofia Coppola's adaptation, we're thinking Dakota Fanning and Ryan Gosling may work. In fact, Ryan Gosling would work in any adaptation. Someone please make this happen.Soundtrack: Wolf Parade

And finally, let's get a little dark—who would be in Martin Scorsese's adaptation? We're going with Leonardo DiCaprio (naturally) and Brian Williams's daughter, Allison.Soundtrack: Rolling Stones
