The artist Hanksy and a merry band of pranksters—which included Brooklyn's own Royal Knights drum corps—wound their way through Midtown Manhattan yesterday afternoon, spreading joy to nearly one and all with their simple message: DUMP TRUMP.

It was a smear campaign of the highest order, a true shitshow if you will, and both tourists and locals alike responded with laughter, cheers of solidarity, and thousands and thousands of selfies.

There were some exceptions. The protest/dance parade did encounter a few vocal Trump supporters. "Trump for President!" one rather buff, Oakley-wearing middle-aged man yelled repeatedly."You people have no idea what's going on."

Though the NYPD kept their distance throughout most of the two-or-so mile route, Counterterrorism and Strategic Response Group forces would suddenly appear whenever the march approached Trump properties, causing a few tense moments. There were no arrests during the three-hour-long spectacle.
