Did you hear the High Line opened up Phase II of their elevated park this week? Of course you did, but for the latecomers, we'll catch you up with some links, which will also describe our nine year long history with the latest unveiled space.

  • We first journeyed onto the tracks in 2002, which wasn't exactly allowed back then.
  • Nine years later (just weeks ago, in fact) we scaled buildings to get aerial views of the not-yet-opened Phase II section.
  • After all that, we were still invited to the official opening on Tuesday, where we checked out the unidentifiable (to us) horticulture, up close and in full daylight.
  • Then we went back at night to discover things get very R-rated up there after dark.

And now you can click through for our latest photos: a more G-rated look through the space at night. As for the next step, Phase III... we were there already back in 2002, and will have more to come as soon as we're totally over how gorgeous Phase II is.
