As we mentioned earlier, there was a huge naked guy making his way through Manhattan yesterday: A gold-painted, 33-foot tall reimagining of Michaelangelo's David by artist Serkan Ozkaya.
The statue was parked outside the Storefront for Art and Architecture in Nolita in the afternoon and last night, but not before paying $130 to cross the George Washington Bridge into Manhattan. CityRoom reports, "For the ride into Manhattan, he was strapped to what truckers call a lowboy trailer, essentially a long rolling platform. He was lying on his side, which limited the sightseeing he could do. When the tractor-trailer finally crossed the George Washington Bridge and headed down Broadway and then Columbus Avenue, he did not see Barnard College or the Metropolitan Opera House. He was facing the opposite way." And he was pretty excited to get a parking permit!
Ozkaya and other panelists discussed his work at the Storefront last night—here are a few videos:

David is heading to 21c Museum Hotel, a boutique hotel and museum in Louisville, Kentucky. The museum's director told CityRoom, "We’re producing a necklace" with two pendants. "One is the fig leaf and one is the penis. They’re on order."
