Gothamist is ten years old. That's a lot of posts (over 90,000!) and spirited comment threads—forget bike lanes, who knew so many people wanted to talk about The Matrix Reloaded? Last night, we celebrated ten years of existence as a website about New York (AND MUCH MORE) at the New Museum.
Guests enjoyed delicious cocktails—the Ultimat Grapefruit and the Ultimat Pear—from Ultimat Vodka, as well as the Patrón Perfect Margarita. Beer was lovingly provided by Brooklyn Brewery and Sledgehammer Wines provided the wine. Revelers could also refresh themselves with smartwater and snack on hors d'oeuvres from The City Bakery.
In the New Museum's Sky Room, DJs, Small Black, Majestyy, and Chrome Canyon kept everyone moving. Downstairs, guests could take their Instagram photos (tagged #gothamist10) and print them at the Kapture Instabooth.
Gothamist would not still be here without you, our readers. Thank you very much for keeping us on your computer, smartphone, tablet—and we aim to keep bringing you even better things in the future.
