Last night fashion's elite gathered at Lincoln Center for the annual Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) awards, which was hosted by Anderson Cooper this year. Unsurprisingly, Lady Gaga stole the show; the performer showed up with her parents, donning blue hair (candy-colored hair is so in right now), and a stunning black dress. She received the Fashion Icon Award, and reportedly when Vogue editrix Anna Wintour texted her congratulations, Gaga mistook her for another Anna in her phone, and texted back, "Yes, bitch, we did it!" To which Wintour replied, “How lovely."
Last year Alexander McQueen was posthumously honored (this year he continues to be honored, at The Met). Below are the other winners and honorees of the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards, you know, if you're into that sort of thing:
