Hey, it may still be freaking cold, but it's technically spring! The Central Park Conservancy is getting ready by turning on the Bethesda Fountain for the first time this year. And the fountain needs to be up and running because next week is the CPC's big Central to Spring event, which will include fireworks!

Next Wednesday, starting at 7 p.m., the Central Park Conservancy is hosting its first Central to Spring bash, to "Say goodbye to winter and hello to spring." There will be music, refreshments from The City Bakery, and a 15-minute fireworks display at 7:45 p.m., all at the Bethesda Terrace, which is mid-park at 72nd Street. And it's all free!
