Musican, author, and all around legendary lady Patti Smith will appear on Law & Order: Criminal Intent tomorrow night. Which is pretty crazy, right? Even if it's certain that by the end of the Law & Order franchise, almost everyone will have appeared on the show.
Tune into the USA network this Sunday at 9 p.m. to catch Smith playing a Columbia University mythology professor named Cleo Alexander. Her character is called upon by Detective Goren (Vincent D’Onofrio) "to help figure out the meaning behind Icarus (a metaphor for failed ambition)." Yep, this is the episode based upon Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark!
Smith told TV Guide (which has a clip of the episode) of her first acting job, “I knew that it wasn’t going to be simple, but it was a little more daunting than I expected. [D’Onofrio] taught me, so I feel like if I had to do it again, I’d be really good. He’s such a great actor, such a great director and becoming such a good friend.”
