It's heeeere

You may have heard mumblings about Aereo recently, which brings television to people without television sets. And on this gorgeous spring day, we are here to tell you that you can now utilize the service! Who needs this sunshine when you can have some screen time? Head over to their site to sign up for a free 90-day trial (it's $12/month after that). Here's the deal...

You can watch TV shows LIVE anywhere in the city (the park! the bus! your apartment!) via an online television platform which works though web-enabled iOS devices like the iPhone, iPad, Roku, AppleTV and MacBook (Android support is coming soon). You'll have access to over 20 broadcast channels, 40 hours of remote DVR storage, and usage on up to five devices. So if you've cut the cord on your cable, this is an especially intriguing service. Bonus for you minimalists out there: there is no application to download, no box to buy, and no equipment to install.

On the downside, two lawsuits have already been filed against Aereo claiming they blatantly violate the copyrights of broadcasters (Aereo has also filed a counterclaim), but according to Wired, "there is no court injunction preventing the launch." So uh, get it while you can!
