We've only had two Mad Men posts in the past 24 hours, so you may have missed that the show is returning soon (April 5th, to be exact) for its final hurrah. What will happen during the final episodes? We don't know, but one time Matthew Weiner said:
"I do know how the whole show ends. It came to me in the middle of last season. I always felt like it would be the experience of human life. And human life has a destination. It doesn't mean Don's gonna die. What I'm looking for, and how I hope to end the show, is like... Don Draper would be [in his 80s] right now. I want to leave the show in a place where you have an idea of what it meant and how it's related to you."
This quote from was 2011, so things may have changed in the last four years, which means all we have now are these photos released by AMC this week. They show the characters hanging out at a catered event in what looks like Westchester. Is it a wedding? Is it a celebration for Henry Francis's run for office? Is it Heaven and everyone's dead? No, it's Easter!
In the past, vague teaser images released prior to the show's return have told us literally nothing, so for now, just click through and enjoy Roger Sterling's sideburns (they've really filled out!), Sneaky Pete's receding hairline, and Megan's awful fashion choices.
In the last episode, it was the summer of '69, and it looks like we'll still be in the late 1960s or early '70s upon the show's return, though it's unclear how many episodes we'll stay in those decades for.
