The surviving members of Monty Python will be coming to New York City next month, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The 2015 Tribeca Film Festival will be showing the film on April 24th at the Beacon Theatre, with John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Michael Palin present—and there are more Monty Python films showing, too!
Screenings of Monty Python’s Life of Brian and Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life are also planned, plus the debut of the documentary, Monty Python - The Meaning of Live, which followed Cleese, Gilliam, Idle, Jones and Palin on their 2014 reunion tour.

Life of Brian
According to press materials, Monty Python - The Meaning of Live "will premiere on Saturday, April 25th, Monty Python’s Life of Brian will screen on April 25th, and Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life on April 26th. Each film presentation will be followed by a Q&A with some of the members of Monty Python."
Tickets for the Monty Python and the Holy Grail screening go on sale on March 23 for American Express card members and on March 28th for the general public at www.tribecafilm.com.
Michael Palin said, "The Pythons are looking forward very much to the Tribeca Film Festival and the chance to meet anyone who can remember why we made Monty Python and The Holy Grail. All we know is that it was a documentary about coconuts that rather lost its way. If anyone at Tribeca can explain why we made it and didn't call it Braveheart then our visit to New York will not have been wasted."
We think we already know the real reason why they made it: to spread awareness of the dangers of flesh wounds.
