Twelve Tibetan monks will be leading meditation sessions at the Museum of Natural History this week—making it the most peaceful spot in the city a few times this week. Well, maybe? Khen Rinpoche, the monk leading the classes, told the NY Post, “It is difficult to find quiet in the museum. You need deeper mindfulness to meditate here. You have to go deeper to get away from the distractions here.“ Guess there really are no quiet places left in New York City.
If you want to give it a shot anyway, there are sessions you can sign up for tomorrow and Friday here.
