While daily life has largely transitioned to our personal indoor spaces as part of the effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, humans are finding a way to connect through old school (and appropriately socially distanced) methods. People all over the world have been placing rainbows in their windows as part of a project called the Rainbow Connection, which is aimed at bringing some joy to kids (and let's be honest, adults) taking quick neighborhood walks around their neighborhoods for some outdoor time. The practice has really taken off in New York City, where the map (which was started by Brooklynites) is flooded with rainbows. It's a joyful graphic to look at in a time when most graphics we're taking in track COVID-19 cases.
