Just when you thought that Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy were living happily ever after, they're headed back to the spotlight—and not in the rumored third Bridget Jones movie. Lily Allen will be bringing the ol' gal to London's West End stage sometime next year.
According to BroadwayWorld, the musical will be helmed by Billy Elliot's Stephen Daldry and composed by both Allen and Greg Kurstin. Allen told Elle magazine recently that she's "nearly finished," (and she seems to have the whole life is over at 30 thing perfected).
A reading featured actress SheriDan Smith as Bridget Jones, and Bertie Carvel as Mark Darcy... but who should be cast in a U.S. production? Because you know that's happening, even if you like Bridget just as she is.
