Maybe it's because of the impending onset of mistletoe, but the Post decides to enlist two body language experts to tell us how kissing can reveal much more than a little affection. Mary Dawne Arden, a professor in NYU's Department of Culture and Communications, says, "The way we kiss is a reflection of how we feel about ourselves and the other person. [Looking at the way couples kiss] can tell you a lot about how comfortable they are with each other, whether it's a lustful or loving relationship and what kind of a person they are."
Some of the couples they look at are Drew Barrymore and Fabrizio Moretti ("young love"), the new Governor of California and his Kennedy wife ("This is a strained kiss..."), Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith ("...he feels that she is fragile and has to protect her"), and Madonna and Britney Spears ("There's no pleasure there - just faking it for a photo op.").
