The Apollo Theater has just announced that Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx will be performing in a special one night-only concert next month, to celebrate his new album. And tickets for the May 21st show go on sale today at noon!

Foxx may be busy on the screen (and friend zoning Katie Holmes), but he's also been working on his singing career. He's released four previous albums and also guested on other performers' songs, receiving two Grammys in the process (for Kanye West's "Gold Digger" and his own "Blame It" with T Pain). Also, he got Chris Christie and John McCain to bust some moves at the Apollo's fundraiser in the Hamptons last year:

Foxx's connection to the Apollo goes back to 1990s when he appeared on Showtime at the Apollo as a comedian—when he was "booed"! Jonelle Procope, President & CEO of the Apollo Theater, said, "Jamie has been part of the Apollo family for many years. It is always thrilling when one of the many artists who performed at the Apollo at the beginning of their development returns at important moments in their careers. We are so happy to be able to be part of the celebration for the release of his new album. It is going to be a fun night!"

While on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, Foxx explained why he named the new album "Hollywood":

Then he crooned Tinder profiles:
