At least, that's our takeaway from the not-bad-at-all first trailer for the highly-anticipated big screen adaptation of the British mega-musical Les Miserables. Anne Hathaway sings! And loses her hair! Poor children run through the streets and look miserable! Hugh Jackman pulls a rope as Jean Valjean! Russel Crowe looks official as Inspector Javert! Amanda Seyfried looks very pretty as Cosette! And best of all? Even if you don't know it, you already know every word.
The movie comes out this Christmas. Because what everyone loves to do on Christmas is to look upon impoverished Parisians suffering, right? Now, when do we get a taste of "Master Of The House"?
