There are worse things than hair to get stuck between subway doors, like divorce papers or pad thai, but this is still pretty unfortunate. Last night one L train commuter managed to squeeze onto a packed train at Union Square shortly after 9 p.m., but in the end there just wasn't enough room for her hair to join her.

According to tipster Brett Sosnik, the platform was packed with commuters five people deep when the L finally arrived, and the train was so crowded it's a miracle any hair was able to squeeze inside at all. Sosnik says there was "a bunch of commotion" when the doors closed, and one or two people tried to alert the conductor to the hair emergency, to no avail.

As you can see from the photo above, one hair-challenged commuter was eager to photograph the incident, no doubt thinking, "Everyone should have her problems!"
