One of the big headliners on this year's Most Important Cruise Event is undoubtedly Gin Blossoms. The Arizona-based band won America's heart in the early 1990s with their hit song "Hey Jealousy," written by the band's co-founder Doug Hopkins. Hopkins—who was battling alcoholism—was fired from the band, and committed suicide soon after receiving the gold record for the song. But la la la that's depressing, so let's focus on the positive: Gin Blossoms are playing in Manhattan at the end of the month, when they're sure to perform another song Hopkins penned, "Found Out About You"—some say this is the band's most important contribution to the '90s pop rock songscape, and vastly superior to "Hey Jealousy."

And with that, we're honestly recommending checking the band out at BB King's on January 31st—go ahead, stop trying to be so "cool," grab some wack slacks and let's swing on the flippity-flop while reliving the other part of the early '90s music scene. Tickets are still available, and starting at the bargain price of $25. The venue also lists VIP booths, which are $65 per ticket, and start at a minimum of 4 per booth.
