There are some things, when you move to New York, that you give up hope for: silence, dignity, and indoor pools, to name a few. But not everyone has! Some people, very rich people with names like Evelyn McMurray Van-Zeller, have been making at least one of those dreams a reality, what with the 30-foot pool in the middle of her Chelsea living room. And it too can be yours, for the small price of $10.955 million.

McMurray Van-Zeller, who was busy leading "a full, complete life in Europe," inherited the townhouse, on West 15th Street, from her party-hearty bachelor brother and promptly redecorated the living room with "tasteful" medieval weaponry and plantings. She describes the house's current aesthetic as having a "cave-like, medieval, Moroccan look," which are three things we didn't know went together until just now. Oh, the WSJ also has a (sadly unembeddable) video of McMurray Van-Zeller cavorting around in five-inch platforms while her teacup-sized Yorkie, Chloe, swims laps.

The townhouse, which McMurray Van-Zeller describes as "a trophy property," is on the market right now, which means this dream could be your reality. There's also a rooftop garden with a smaller pool, which is currently home to a family of turtles.
