As if a murmuration of dancing starlings above the L Train wasn't sign enough that spring is really here, the first cherry blossoms of the season have bloomed at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden!

As you can see on the handy CherryWatch Blossom Status Map, a Prunus sargentii ‘Fudan-zakura’ has bloomed on the northern part of the garden. Now that they blooming has started, the season lasts for about five weeks. Better get there quick though, because once they bloom, they don't last very long.
