All weekend, Governors Island is being transformed into a living art paradise. Since 2007, FIGMENT Festival has been bringing participatory art projects to the island, attracting thousands of visitors of all ages. Most of the projects are there just through Sunday, though a few like the mini-golf course and the sculpture garden will be open until October 3rd.
Governors Island is accessible by ferry, which runs on the hour from Battery Maritime Building from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and for free on weekends.
