Pushing the "Simpsons did it" jokes aside for a moment, fans of the work of Matt Parker and Trey Stone don't have to look very far to see some love for the duo around town. Not only is their show The Book of Mormon in previews on Broadway right now (Jon Stewart liked it), but starting Monday their baby South Park will be getting the gallery treatment at the Opera Gallery.
To celebrate the show's 15th season (which starts April 27) Comedy Central has teamed with the artist Ron English for a show of South Park interpretive art from English and 14 other artists including Travis Louie, Kid Zoom, Dave White, KaNo, Kathie Olivas, Clark Fox and Lindsey Way. The show runs from March 28 through April 10.
But wait, you want to pitch in your fan art too? No problem, from March 28 through May 15 the South Parkers will be collecting fan art submissions through SouthParkStudios.com. The best of that, along with the art from the show, will then be trucked out to Comic-Con this summer for something ominously called the "Ultimate Fan Experience."
