Law & Order: SVU has cast two new detectives for its upcoming season, to fill the gaping void left by Christopher Meloni's departure and Mariska Hargitay's reduced screen time. And the winners are...
Kelli Giddish and Danny Pino! Wait, who? Giddish starred on the short-lived NBC series Chase (playing a U.S. Marshal), and Pino starred as a detective on seven seasons of CBS's Cold Case. Both will play detectives in the Special Victims Unit. "Kelli and Danny are two great actors who will join a proven cast headed by Mariska Hargitay as this exceptional series heads into a very promising 13th season," NBC Entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt said in a statement.
