This TMZ headline had us thinking the cast of Jersey Shore had contracted some super-STD, but that's not quite it, though they do apparently have a certain something. The site notes that Snooki & Co. have been quarantined in Jersey so that they don't lose that certain je ne sais quoi they all possess.
They've just returned from Italy and are waiting to start shooting Season 5 on the Shore next week. While this is all going on, it means no phones, no Internet, no friends, and no family. Producers allegedly want to keep them "in the zone," and that means "if they started circulating again in New Jersey with friends, family, and the media, they'd lose the chemistry that makes the show work, and it takes time to get it back."
After they're done filming the season, however, their chemistry isn't going to get them another $100,000 per episode contact for the series—word is that MTV will be recasting! A source told US Weekly: "After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them."
