It's been like five months since our last zombie crawl here in New York, so it's been like a zombie ghost town around here! Where my zombies at?! Anyway, we're happy to report that this zombie-culture drought we've been suffering through is finally about to end. The NYC Zombie Crawl is coming back for its sixth annual event this October 14th.
How does this zombie-centric event separate itself from the bazillion of others? It probably doesn't, but there will be "live music, free drinks (Sailor Jerry Rum and PBR), burlesque, games, and Lloyd Kaufman, creator of the Toxic Avenger." And for civilians who aren't really undead, there will be zombie technicians providing makeup.
Now, we're all for zombies—in fact here is a photo of the Gothamist staff, dead in our office and well on our way to becoming zombies...

...but—like the No Pants Ride and Santacon—maybe these zombie events have run their course?
