You may remember La La Vazquez from her MTV VJ-ing and hosting reunion shows of various MTV and VH1 reality competitions (Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Inferno, Flavor of Love, I Love New York, For the Love of Ray J) but now she's back in New York—she was born in Brooklyn— as the Big Apple newest WAG. Her husband, Carmelo Anthony, is now the Knicks' big addition and she's going to have her own VH1 reality show, La La's Full Court Life.
VH1 executive Jeff Olde says the show will follow the drama of the trade and her family's big changes, "Because of Melo's road schedule, La must negotiate a cross-country move -- finding a house, settling their son in a new school, etc. -- all by herself. La is also still trying to balance this with her pursuit of an acting career." Vazquez's star-studded July 2010 wedding was also a VH1 show.
Vazquez was wearing six-inch blue Christian Louboutin high heels at her husband's press conference yesterday (better to match his warmup suit) and revealed that she had already received 200 real estate referrals. As for where she'll be looking, La La told the Post, "We've heard great things about TriBeCa -- we'll definitely be looking there." The Post has actually heard the family will be looking for a $30,000/month rental at first, possibly at the West Broadway building where Jon Bon Jovi has a place (and where Mark Madoff killed himself).
