Yesterday we got a shudder inducing chill after coming to terms with the fact that somewhere in this crazy world... two cats are going to be forced to reenact the Royal Wedding by their human. Well, now we've received a press release stating that two dogs will be partaking in what is being advertised as the "Royal Dog Wedding." They'll be walked down the aisle this Friday in Williamsburg (since, the organizers tell us, Westminster Abbey was booked that day).

The event is open to the public and will take place at Lucky Dog on Bedford Avenue (dogs and humans are both welcome). The two lovebirdsdogs are Reverend Jen Junior and Taco Waggytail (who may not have a royal bloodline, but is the posterpup for Waggytail Rescue).

The humans promise wedding cake, partying, presents, special outfits, and the opportunity to "get crunk"—which totally isn't allowed at that other wedding. And in lieu of gifts, the couple asks you make donations to Waggytail Rescue.
