Today feels like the first day of summer, so it feels appropriate that the lineup for this year's Northside Festival has been released. And this year's festival, which takes place June 9-12 at McCarren Park, features possibly the biggest headliner in the festival's history: Brian Wilson and his touring band performing Pet Sounds.

The other major artists playing the festival including Conor Oberst, Kacey Musgraves, Diet Cig, King Khan and the Shrines, Hinds, and the newly-reunited Wolf Parade, who will play a free show on June 9th. You can see the full lineup below:

Past Northside Festival headliners have included Against Me!, Built To Spill, Neko Case, Guided By Voices, Liars, The Walkmen, Solange and Thee Oh Seas.

In addition to Northside Festival, Governor's Ball will take place June 3rd - 5th at Randall’s Island Park with performances from Kanye West, Beck and The Strokes; Panorama Festival will also take place on Randall's Island from July 22-24, with headlining performances by LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, Kendrick Lamar, and The National. The Village Voice‘s 4Knots Music Festival will take place on Saturday July 9th at South Street Seaport’s Pier 16 as well.

We spoke to Brian Wilson (we did most of the speaking) in 2011 around the release of The Smile Sessions.
