With his political career in a permanent holding pattern,BruceBrooooooce Springsteen is getting back to what he does best. On March 6th, he'll release his 17th studio album, Wrecking Ball, which is said to be his angriest yet. Below, listen to the first single, "We Take Care Of Our Own."

According to Springsteen's manager Jon Landau, the record has "social overtones" and "gets into economic justice quite a bit. He feels it's the angriest album he's ever made." The album features members of the E Street Band, along with appearances from Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and prolific session man (and former Pearl Jam drummer) Matt Chamberlain. It includes three tracks (including an iTunes bonus track) Springsteen has been playing live for years: "American Land," "Land of Hope and Dreams," and the title track.

"Land of Hope and Dreams"—a classic slab of the later period E Street Band sound ala "This Hard Land"—was first performed on the 1999 E Street Band reunion tour, and is said to be dedicated to Clarence Clemons, who died last June. We'd wager that'll include some of Clemons indelible saxophone playing as well. Listen to a live version below.

You can also listen to a live version of the title track, "Wrecking Ball," a tribute to the late Meadowlands which Springsteen played on his last tour—it's got the propulsive, sweaty swell of one of the better songs from The Rising.
