Miss America is leaving Brooklyn! At least for now. 24-year-old Alabama native Mallory Hagan, who previously held the title of Miss Brooklyn and Miss Manhattan before she got the big tiara, tells the Brooklyn Paper that she's traveling so much because of her new gig that she probably won't be home for the rest of the year. Isn't this always the way? We only just got confirmation the lady has been living in Windsor Terrace (not Park Slope) and then she coldly skips town without a second thought. Brooklyn, its heart in pieces, turns to Miss Coney Island for solace.

When asked if her neighbors have been treating her differently since she tap-danced her way to the title, Hagen let the truth about her departure slip: "it’s funny, I actually haven’t been back to my apartment! As Miss America, we stay in hotels because we travel just about every 48 hours. So right now is probably one of the longest stints I’ll have in one place for a little while."

She promises she'll be "back as soon as my year as Miss America is up." But will she? The lady is putting all of her stuff in storage for the year and, according to the Post, her boyfriend, JP Morgan Chase analyst Charmel Maynard, has "swank SoHo digs." Is the former Miss America really going to want to go apartment hunting when there is a Manhattan address to fall back on? So, yeah, it seems pretty plausible her stint in the Borough Of Churches is over. Fun while it lasted—nobody tell Marty, okay?
