On the third anniversary of Whitney Houston's death, life support will reportedly be removed from the legendary singer's daughter. Bobbi Kristina Brown, just 21-years-old, has been in a medically induced coma since January 31st.
Page Six reports, "Bobbi’s grandmother Cissy Houston floated the idea of a Feb. 11 death over the weekend during discussions with the Brown family at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The Browns gave their blessing to pull the plug at the stroke of midnight to align the date with the 2012 passing of the legendary singer at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The move is a symbolic way to keep the mother and daughter together for eternity, according to a Brown family source."
Brown, the daughter of Houston and Bobby Brown, was found face-down in a bathtub in her suburban Atlanta home on January 31st. Also present in the home was friend Max Lomas and her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, who may be under investigation for drugs that were found there.
TMZ also reported on an investigation that was launched last week after "certain injuries piqued the interest" of investigators—they refer to a history of violence between the couple, and noted "Max claims Nick allegedly cleaned up the home and removed blood stains." Further, a source told WSB, "[I]njuries to Bobbi Kristina’s face and mouth have Roswell police concerned and investigating further."
Bobby Brown said last week, "Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time," and the Houston family said, "Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your prayers, well wishes, and we greatly appreciate your continued support."
A source told Page Six that the Browns and Houstons had been battling over Bobbi Kristina's fate, but now, "This is the only thing they can agree on — that she’s gone [brain-dead], and there’s nothing more than can be done for her." Bobby Brown had reportedly been hoping for a miracle, and the family held a vigil last night, asking for the public's continued prayers.
After Houston's 2012 death, an "accidental drowning" in a hotel bathtub, former MTV veejay John Norris told us, "In 1993 Whitney and Bobby took me into the nursery of their Miami condo to see a sleeping Bobbi Kristina in her crib. They could not have been happier."
