The White House website is so smart: Since the most popular part of WhiteHouse.gov was the Barney cam that followed First Scottish Terrier Barney Bush around, the White House developed another Barney film, Barney Cam II: Barney Reloaded last week. While the White House, tongue–in–cheek, says it has a "more complicated plot," and the Times' Elizabeth Bumiller points out that the first video had no plot. It's certainly worth watching, if only to see Andy Card trying to get Barney to "do some work" and Karl Rove befuddled by Christmas lights, a nod to his love of Christmas tree trimming. The film also features the President, First Lady, and Ari Fleischer. Gothamist must admit, if we're going to love a Republican, we're Barney's at the top of the list, and not least because the hyperactive dog was born in New Jersey.

Viewers can also see the White House Christmas decorations, which are inspired by children's story books, like The Cat in the Hat and Harry Potter; last year it was of animals who had lived in the White House, like Caroline Kennedy's pony and the Clintons cat, Socks.
