Avengers assemble! If you've been aching to be the first in line when Joss Whedon's take on Marvel's mighty band of non-mutants, well, your chance is coming. The Avengers has been selected as the closing film for this year's TriBeCa Film Festival.

The star-heavy comic book flick (which Whedon calls an "intimate little think-piece") will be screened Saturday, April 28, and will have many of the stars on hand (as well as "real-life local heroes invited as special guests"). So we wouldn't bet on being able to snag a ticket. Luckily for the plebs, the movie opens to the general public just a few days later on May 4.

Really can't wait? You can always go and "swede" the movie for yourself! If you've read the comics, it really shouldn't be hard...
