The below was delivered to our inbox and is sort of what we'd imagine a geriatric version of Sweet Valley High would read like, or maybe it's like one of those trashy novels we hear people enjoy reading on the beach. The man behind the lexical gold is Tom Murro, who describes himself as the Celebrity Magnet—below, he delivers a dramatic retelling of what happened when Kim G (of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, duh) met Dina Lohan in the Hamptons this past weekend.
It was just supposed to be a low-key, relaxing holiday weekend spent hunting for property to call her own in the Hamptons, but with a single tap on the shoulder all of that changed. After an already tumultuous dinner at Bobby Van’s in Bridgehampton, Kim faced a potentially awkward situation.
Standing at the bar, Kim felt a tap on her shoulder before turning around and hearing, “Hi Kim, I’m Paul, Dina [Lohan]‘s brother.” As soon as Kim relayed this to us, she immediately began to reenact the scream that went on inside of her upon meeting Paul. “I think I turned 10 shades of white,” she told friend Celebrity Magnet Tom Murro, “I didn’t know which way to fly! Left, right, under the bar?”
As you may know, Kim has been caught on film kissing Michael Lohan, Dina’s ex-husband, and has even hinted in her own blogs at a blossoming relationship. Now, not only was she facing Dina’s brother, but he informed her Dina would be there soon. So, yes, this encounter quickly could have veered in the wrong direction. And Kim knew this immediately, “I told myself, Kim, this is so awkward!”
But if there’s one thing to know about Kim, it’s to expect the unexpected. Rather than fresh drama and awkward situations, Kim and Tom became fast friends with both Paul and Dina. When Dina showed up less than a half an hour after Kim met Paul, the girls hit it off immediately. Kim had nothing but positives to share about her new friends, “Paul is an absolute doll and Dina is a sweetheart.”
In fact, after that first night, they essentially spent the rest of the weekend together. Saturday night, after spending the day with more house-hunting, Kim caught up with her newfound friends that night at Hamptons hotspot Nello’s. Kim, Dina, and Paul were just hanging out, having fun, getting to know one another and sharing stories about their children.
When asked about future plans with Dina, Kim spoke with excitement, “We’ll be able to catch up all summer!” Turns out the reason Dina and Paul were at the same place as Kim in the first place was that they share a connection beyond Michael Lohan. “My girlfriend’s friend is good friends with Dina,” Kim explained the previously unrealized link. A mutual friend? Even Kim had to admit, “How coincidental!” This coincidence, however, will ensure they see one another again soon.
But, you might be asking, what about Michael? Believe it or not, there was no talk of Michael all weekend. “I stayed away from the subject,” Kim admits, “Nothing came up and I didn’t think it’d be appropriate anyway.”
Looks like we’ve got a new friendship to keep an eye on! And we have a feeling there will definitely be some interesting stories to come from this one.
In a perfect world, this would all be a publicity push to get Dina Lohan her own Real Housewives show, set on Long Island, of course.
