Just after Pet Fashion Week comes to an end (seriously), New York's (human) Fashion Week begins. The official start is tomorrow, but heels will be hitting the runway before that. Though far from fashionistas, we've been to a runway show or two in the past - and have always heard amazing things about Imitation of Christ's unusual showings. Tonight IoC's Matt Damhave and Tara Subkoff will be at Snitch (which is still open?!) showing off their new rags (maybe Scar Jo will walk the walk again).
If your invites got lost in the mail and you want to crash a show, check out the schedule here, though Fashion Week Daily is probably the best way to keep up to the minute on the must-sees.
Like your fashion two-dimensional? The NY Times has a slideshow showing how the styles under the tents will be knocked off and sold to those with couture-less closets. amNewYork previews the upcoming fashion parade with an article on Brooklyn designers Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra (pictured). While the design duo favors flannel for themselves, their line is less Paul Bunyan-chic and more fit for the glossies.
We'll just be waiting for those knock-offs to hit Forever 21 while trying to garner tips from reality TV's fashion mascot, Tim Gunn (his new show starts Thursday).
