This past weekend the Brooklyn Botanical Garden celebrated Japanese culture (and the past peak Cherry Blossom trees) with a myriad of performances and events in their annual Sakura Matsuri festival. Participants were treated to two days of Taiko-style drumming and meet-and-greets with Pokemon voice artist Veronica Taylor as well as workshops on Bonsai and Sohenryu-Style tea ceremonies. The colorful celebration culminated in a Cosplay fashion show curated by the NY Anime Festival.
